Finding a builder you feel you can trust is stressful at the best of times that’s why we consider ourselves extremely lucky to have found Michael Smith Builders.

We had plans to replace a single story extension on the back of our house and struggled with a few builders either with price or having confidence in what they said. When we first spoke to Mick and Matt they gave us the peace of mind we were looking for. To be able to hand you building plans over to someone and let them get on with the work was a huge weight off our shoulders.

The work took around four months as predicted in our initial meeting with the lads, during this time they worked extremely hard in all kinds of weather and were courteous, clean and tidy and always ready to answer our questions or suggest an alternative or better way to get what we required. I will use the lads again in the near future and would strongly recommend them to anyone, very professional and polite.

We contacted Michael Smith Builders to remove a structural wall and open up the kitchen and we couldn’t be happier with the work they’ve done. I was in third trimester when the work commenced so Mick made sure the job was completed in time for the new arrival.

They worked at pace and to a high standard and kept us in the loop about the progress/next steps. They contained the mess as much as possible and removed the rubble as they went along. The new open plan kitchen diner is a game changer and made us fall in love with our house all over again.

We are definitely going to use Mick in his team in the future when we decide to make further renovations.
